Hiking this mountain was an exhilarating experience for us, with its steep, narrow trails pushing our endurance to the limit. How gorgeous is this turquoise glacier lake known How gorgeous is this turquoise glacier lake known as Humantay Lake?😍😍 Peru is such a beautiful country with rapidly changing landscapes. On our two-week trip, we were blown away by the diversity of the landscapes. While many tourists visit Peru for Machu Picchu, I am so glad we made time to visit these unique destinations that Peru has to offer. This charming lake does not make it easy for visitors, as there is a strenuous hike to reach it. Altitude sickness is a common occurrence. We acclimated ourselves well in Cusco in order to do the Rainbow Mountain and Humantay Lake hikes, and that really helped. I loved this lake so much that I didn’t want to leave, and Danish almost had to drag me back.😆 This lake reminded me so much of Moraine Lake in Canada. We love mountains and lakes everywhere we go.
