How gorgeous is this turquoise glacier lake known How gorgeous is this turquoise glacier lake known as Humantay Lake?😍😍 Peru is such a beautiful country with rapidly changing landscapes. On our two-week trip, we were blown away by the diversity of the landscapes. While many tourists visit Peru for Machu Picchu, I am so glad we made time to visit these unique destinations that Peru has to offer. This charming lake does not make it easy for visitors, as there is a strenuous hike to reach it. Altitude sickness is a common occurrence. We acclimated ourselves well in Cusco in order to do the Rainbow Mountain and Humantay Lake hikes, and that really helped. I loved this lake so much that I didn’t want to leave, and Danish almost had to drag me back.😆 This lake reminded me so much of Moraine Lake in Canada. We love mountains and lakes everywhere we go.
